BioAfter years of pursuing a career in opera, I've chucked it and am focusing on getting a life. The dogged pursuit of a challenging (yet non-lucrative) career seems to limit one's options, relationships and passtimes. So here I am recovering from the music biz, discovering new interests, uncovering old interersts, and meeting new people.
My current interests include yoga, cooking, reading, writing, movies, music (opera, of course, but also alt-rock, jazz, swing, zydeco, folk, live music in small venues in general ... I'm finding I have an interest in non-classical music that's for the making rather than just the consuming), dancing (poorly but enthusiasticly) to many of the above. Also, I used to participate in the SCA and am being convinced by several great people to dip my toes back in that water.
